Refer a Friend: Terms

These terms cover the Odd Bunch refer a friend program (the “Program”) at www.oddbunch.ca/pages/refer-a-friend, and the rewards available through it (the “Rewards”).

Who can take part

To refer friends (a “Referrer”), you must:

  • (i) have an Odd Bunch account with an active subscription,
  • (ii) be a Canadian resident, and
  • (iii) be the age of majority where you live.

To be a friend for the purposes of the Program (the “Friend”), you must:

  • (i) have never had an Odd Bunch account,
  • (ii) be a Canadian resident, and
  • (iii) be the age of majority where you live.

In addition, no box can ever have been delivered to the Friend, the Friend’s email address, or the Friend’s home address. The Friend must also live in an area we deliver to.

How it works

  1. The Referrer logs in on the refer a friend page with their email and the one-time code we send them. The Referrer’s personal link will appear.
  2. The Referrer shares the link with their Friend. A Friend who signs up through it gets Ten Canadian Dollars (CAN $10.00) off their first order.
  3. Once the Friend’s first order is placed, we add Ten Canadian Dollars (CAN $10.00) in credit to the Referrer’s account. It can take a little while to show up.

The Friend has to sign up through the Referrer’s link. We can’t add a referral after the fact.

Referrer’s Reward

The Referrer will receive Ten Canadian Dollars (CAN $10.00) in account credit for each Friend who qualifies. There’s no limit on how many Friends a Referrer can refer.

The Referrer’s credit lives in their account at portal.oddbunch.ca and is non-transferable. It only comes off the Referrer’s next box when “Auto-apply my credit to my next order” is switched on. The Referrer can apply their whole balance toward one box.

Any unused credits received under the Program expire six months after the Referrer’s last account activity. Activity means a box charge or a change to the Referrer’s subscription.

If the Referrer does not receive their Reward when the Friend’s first order is placed, the Referrer has until two hundred (200) calendar days after the day the qualifying order was placed to tell us. If the Referrer does not tell us by then, their right to the Reward is forfeited.

The Reward has no cash value. It cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred to another account.

Friend’s Reward

The Friend will receive Ten Canadian Dollars (CAN $10.00) off their first order, applied at checkout when they sign up through the Referrer’s link.

Any unused credit received under the Program expires immediately after the first order is completed.

A Friend may only receive one (1) Reward per household. It cannot be combined with other discount codes.

If the Friend does not receive their Reward when their first order is placed, the Friend has until two hundred (200) calendar days after the day the qualifying order was placed to tell us. If the Friend does not tell us by then, their right to the Reward is forfeited.

The Reward has no cash value. It cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred to another account.

After the first order, the Friend’s subscription continues at the regular price. The Friend can swap, skip, or cancel at any time.

Acceptance of Reward

The Reward must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or assignable. No Reward substitutions are permitted. The recipient of a Reward is solely responsible for any tax consequences of receiving it.

We reserve the right to end, cancel, or change the terms of the Program at any time, in our sole discretion, without notice, for any reason. We may also revoke, limit, or suspend the Program for any person who appears to be manipulating or abusing it, or who is engaged in any suspicious or fraudulent activity.

The leaderboard

The Top Odd Bunchers board ranks people by the number of Friends who have qualified since 9 July 2026. It updates hourly.

The board shows your first name, last initial, city, and province, plus your Friend count. It never shows your email, street address, or credit balance.

By accepting the Reward, you consent to the use of your personal information as described in these terms.

If two people have the same count, whoever got there first ranks higher.

The board is just for fun. Ranking on it doesn’t win a prize unless we announce one, with its own rules.

Privacy

We use your email address to send your login code and to track your referrals. If you appear on the leaderboard, we show your first name, last initial, city, and province as described above. We only get the Friend’s details when they sign up themselves.

Use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

If you would like to be removed from the Top Odd Bunchers board, contact us at help@oddbunch.ca. We will remove you, usually within five (5) business days.

Before providing any information, the Referrer must obtain, and hereby warrants to us that they have obtained, the Friend’s consent to:

  • (i) provide us with information about participating in the Program, and
  • (ii) provide us with any information about the Friend, for the purpose of administering the Program.

  • (ii) provide us with any information about the Referrer, for the purpose of administering the Program.

Playing fair

Share your link with people you know. Posting it on your own social accounts is fine. Don’t post it on coupon or deal sites, use it in paid ads, or send it to people who haven’t asked to hear from you.

Don’t refer yourself, use a second email or account, or make up names or addresses.

Without limiting the above:

  • The Referrer agrees not to represent that they act on our behalf or are our employee, agent, intermediary, or representative.
  • The Referrer agrees not to use paid advertising or any service to advertise, promote, or share their unique link.
  • The Program, Reward, and link can only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes, and only shared with Friends the Referrer has confirmed would want to hear about the Program.
  • Referrals containing the link must be created and sent in a personal manner that is appropriate and customary for communications with friends and family. They must not appear to be sent by or on behalf of us.

Bulk email distribution, or distribution to strangers or to people the Referrer has no personal or family relationship with, may be grounds for immediate removal from the Program, revocation of the Reward(s), and further legal action by us.

If a referral breaks these terms, we may also take you off the leaderboard and turn off your link.

Changes to the Program

We can change these terms or end the Program at any time by updating this page. Changes apply from the effective date at the top of this page. Rewards already in your account stay yours under the expiry rules above, and Friends who signed up before a change still count.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in them limits your rights under the consumer protection laws where you live.
